In order of preference, the autopilot uses:<br />
• measured boat speed (speed through water)<br />
• if this is not available, it uses the speed over ground (SOG)<br />
• if this is not available, it uses the cruise speed specified in Dealer<br />
Calibration (see page 95)<br />
Waypoint arrival and advance<br />
Note: Waypoint advance only operates if the <strong>ST6001</strong>+ is receiving<br />
valid bearing to waypoint and waypoint name information.<br />
Arrival<br />
As the boat arrives at the target waypoint the navigation aid will select<br />
the next target waypoint and transmit this to the autopilot. The<br />
autopilot will then detect the new target waypoint name, sound the<br />
Waypoint Advance warning and display the Waypoint Advance<br />
(NEXT WPT) screen. This shows the new bearing to the next waypoint<br />
and the direction the boat will turn to acquire the new track.<br />
