standards. Training included<br />
pre-hospital emergency care, first<br />
aid, rope responder and incident<br />

are informed of a pending civil<br />
defence emergency in a timely<br />
manner (those that are registered<br />
with the online alerting system)<br />
Communications (Readynet<br />
message) sent within one hour<br />
of decision. Readynet was used<br />
for the May <strong>2010</strong> flood event.<br />
Messages were sent to five local<br />
schools in the Beckenham and<br />
Cashmere areas.<br />
