User Editor layout<br />

Before you begin using the User Editor, you should<br />

• understand the basic security requirements of the system<br />

• know which privileges provide access to which application functionality<br />

• have administrative privileges<br />

The User Editor has the following tabs:<br />

• General<br />

• Privileges<br />

• Groups<br />

User Editor: General tab<br />

The General tab allows you to<br />

• specify a login ID, a full name and a description for the user<br />

• link the user to a Windows NT user<br />

• remove or change the link between a user and a Windows NT user<br />

• specify a password<br />

• set password expiration criteria<br />

• enable or disable the account<br />

User Editor: Privileges tab<br />

The privileges tab allows you to select the privileges you wish to assign to the user.<br />

User Editor: Groups tab<br />

The groups tab allows you to specify to which group(s) the user belongs.<br />
