In the first column on the Sort by bar, select the variable by which you wish
to sort the log file.
In the second column, select either ascending or descending.
Click OK.

From the Tools menu, choose Diagnostics. The Diagnostics
Configuration Editor opens.
On the Trace tab, select the check boxes corresponding to the components
you wish to trace.
In the Errors tab, select the Debug monitor check box.
Click Save and Close.
Open the Log File Viewer.
From the Window menu of the Log File Viewer, choose Debug Monitor.
The Debug Monitor window appears.
In MicroStrategy Desktop, perform the task you wish to trace.
The tracing information appears in the Debug monitor window as the
process happens in MicroStrategy Desktop.
