The Database Instance Manager lists all of the database instances defined for a<br />

particular project source.<br />

You can find the Database Instance Manager for a particular project source in the<br />

project source’s Administration hierarchy.<br />

The Database Instance Manager allows you to:<br />

• open the Database Instance Editor which allows you to create or modify<br />

database instances, database connections, and database logins<br />

• open the Database Instance Wizard which allows you to quickly create a new<br />

database instance and define the database connection and database login with<br />

which it is associated<br />

• open the VLDB Properties Editor which allows you to change the default<br />

VLDB properties associated with a database instance<br />

• rename a database instance<br />

• delete a database instance<br />
