Performance counters<br />

Performance counters provide information for <strong>MicroStrategy</strong> Intelligence<br />

Server tuning through the analysis of server-specific variables, which are<br />

available through the Windows NT Performance Monitor. The<br />

information provided is similar to the monitoring information available<br />

through the server administration interface, but this information can be<br />

correlated to other system variables such as memory and processor usage.<br />

Active tracing<br />

The Log Viewer allows you to view active tracing information. That is,<br />

you can view the data in real-time, as it is being generated. Active tracing<br />

uses a component of the Log Viewer called the Debug Monitor. For<br />

details, refer to the following interface topic:<br />
