Database Instance Manager layout<br />

To view details choose Details from the View menu, the Database Instance<br />

Manager provides you with the following information about the databases<br />

instances defined for a project source:<br />

Column<br />

Name<br />

Definition<br />

Name of the database instance<br />

Owner<br />

Modification Time<br />

Description<br />

User who created the database instance<br />

Last date and time at which the database<br />

instance was modified<br />

If you included a description in the database<br />

instance definition, it is displayed here<br />

Right-clicking a database instance brings up a menu with the following choices:<br />

• Edit: Opens the Database Instance Editor for the selected database instance<br />

• VLDB Properties: Opens the VLDB Properties editor for the selected<br />

database instance<br />

• Prioritization: Opens the Database Instance Editor with the Job Prioritization<br />

tab selected<br />

• Delete: Deletes the selected database instance<br />

• Rename: Allows you to rename the selected database instance<br />

• Properties: Opens the Properties window for the selected database instance<br />

A right-click anywhere else in the Database Instance Manager display brings up a<br />

menu with the following options:<br />

• View: Allows you to change the view<br />

• Refresh: Refreshes the information display<br />

• New: Point to New then to Database Instance to open the Database Instance<br />

Editor and create a new database instance<br />

• Database Instance Wizard: Launches the Database Instance Wizard, which<br />

allows you to create a new database instance<br />
