Click F. The Color dialog box appears.
Choose a red color and click OK.

From the Tools menu, choose Diagnostics. The Diagnostics
Configuration Editor opens.
In the Trace tab, select the check boxes corresponding to the components
for which you wish to create a log file.
Check the Log file check box.
Specify the other log file options such as the location where the log file will
be saved, the name of the log file, and the maximum size.
Click Save and Close.
In MicroStrategy Desktop, perform the task for which you are creating a
log file.

For example, if you want to create a log for the Fact Editor, you would follow
these steps:
Select the Fact Editor check box in the Trace tab of the Diagnostics
Configuration Editor
Click Save and Close.
Return to MicroStrategy Desktop and use the Fact Editor. A log file will be
produced containing information about the activities you performed in the Fact
Editor.
Filter information in a log file

In the Log Viewer, open the log file you wish to filter.
On the toolbar, click Filter Logs. The Filter Sets dialog box opens.
Click Add Filter Set. The Filter Logs dialog box opens.
