The number of dorsal f<strong>in</strong> pterygiophores is 11 to 12. The number of anal f<strong>in</strong><br />

pterygiophores is 20 to 22. The total number of vertebrae is 36, with 20 abdom<strong>in</strong>al<br />

vertebrae and 16 caudal vertebrae. The ventral scutes are well-developed, and their<br />

number is 17 to 18, with 9 scutes between the pectoral and pelvic f<strong>in</strong>s, and 8 scutes<br />

between the pelvic and anal f<strong>in</strong>s. The number of predorsal <strong>in</strong>terneural sp<strong>in</strong>es is 7.<br />

The <strong>in</strong>termuscular bones are well developed.<br />

Description ofthe holotype. The body is thick and the body depth is conta<strong>in</strong>ed 1.9<br />

times <strong>in</strong> the standard length. The head length is conta<strong>in</strong>ed 3.4 times <strong>in</strong> the standard<br />

length. The dorsal f<strong>in</strong> is situated at about the middle of the body, and the pelvic f<strong>in</strong>,<br />

below the dorsal f<strong>in</strong>. The pectoral f<strong>in</strong> is situated near the ventral edge of the body at<br />

the posteroventral corner of the head. The number of dorsal f<strong>in</strong> pterygiophores is<br />

12, and the number of anal f<strong>in</strong> pterygiophores is 23. Four predorsal scutes are<br />

visible. The ventral scutes are well-developed, total<strong>in</strong>g 17 <strong>in</strong> number, with 9 scute<br />

between the pectoral and pelvic f<strong>in</strong>s, and 8 scutes between the pelvic and anal f<strong>in</strong>s.<br />

The total number of vertebrae is 32, with 18 abdom<strong>in</strong>al and 14 caudal vertebrae.<br />

Seven predorsal <strong>in</strong>terneural sp<strong>in</strong>es are present. The neural sp<strong>in</strong>es of the first to the<br />

7th vertebrae are divided <strong>in</strong>to two. The <strong>in</strong>termuscular bones are well-developed.<br />

At least 2 epurals are visible. A parhypural and 6? hypurals are present.<br />
