Use double-sided tape to stick eggs in place then attach the remainder of the basket to the card. Materials Kaisercard– pink, white Coordinated bright printed papers Coordinating rickrack Kaisercard pearls – hot pink Double-sided tape Foam adhesive dots Cutting knife & cutting mat Scissors Pencil & ruler Hot pink sewing thread Sewing machine Front of card Step 1 From the template provided, cut out 1 x basket shape from white weave cardstock. Using a long stitch on the sewing machine and hot pink thread, sew around the basket shape 5mm in from the outer edge and also 5mm in from the inner edge of the hole in the middle of the paper basket. Tie loose threads to back of paper basket. Topstitch lengths of rickrack across the base of the basket as in picture or as desired. Trim ends of rickrack in line with the edge of the basket. Step 2 Cut a 22cm x 30cm piece of pink weave cardstock and fold in half widthways to form card. Apply doublesided tape along the bottom edge of basket and stick basket to the centre front at the base of the card. Using egg template provided, cut out nine eggs from coordinating bright printed papers. With card flat and front Step 3 Stick the remaining two paper eggs to the left corner of basket using foam dots. Further embellish the card by cutting out paper flowers from printed papers or cut the flowers from a flower printed paper then attach to the basket using foam dots to give the flowers height and depth. Stick adhesive pearls to the centres of the paper flowers. Inside of card Step 4 Cut an 18cm x 12cm piece of white weave cardstock then using a long stitch on the sewing machine and hot pink thread, sew around outer edge of the card 5mm in from the outer edge. Tie loose threads to back of card. Stick to the inside of card using double sided tape. Cut out two more eggs from printed card and adhere to the bottom left corner of the sewn edges. • Get Creative Quarterly Autumn 2012 101
