Textural leaf
Materials
Scraps of wool felt, suiting, corduroy,
organza & net
2 x earring shepherd hooks – boho gold
Sharp scissors
Pins, hand needle
Sewing machine
Sewing thread
Step 1 Using the templates
provided, cut two large leaves from each
of the wool and organza scraps and two
small leaves from each of the suiting,
corduroy and net scraps.
Step 2 Layer the cut fabric leaves
on top of each other, with the wool felt
on the bottom, followed by the suiting,
then the corduroy, organza and the net
on the top.
Turn each leaf outwards slightly to either
side, but keep the top points of the
leaves aligned. Pin leaves in place when
happy with arrangement of leaf shapes.
Step 3 Starting from the top point
of the leaves, sew a straight line of
stitching half way down the leaves,
reverse the line of stitching back to the
top and repeat again with the stitching
ending back at the top, leaving the ends
of the threads long.
Using the long threads, hand sew the
base of the shepherd hook to the top of

textures form the bulk of these
distinctive & stylish earrings.
