The intensity of multidimensional poverty in <strong>Sri</strong> <strong>Lanka</strong><br />

is 0.3887 (Table A4). Among the districts and sectors,<br />

the differences are not significant, ranging from 0.3510<br />

in Matara to 0.4380 in Trincomalee. People who are<br />

multidimensionally poor, regardless of where they live,<br />

face more or less the same deprivations and are deprived to<br />

about the same extent, although the indicators on which<br />

they are deprived are different.<br />
