Summary
Notations
The Support Person can be the vital resource of
strength in an OCD recovery program. As we
learn more about the inherent conflicts of the
Support Person, we learn more about ourselves.
This helps us find the balance in ourselves. We
can then provide the Sufferer additional
strength, helping them find their balance and
securing a more self-fulfilling life.
The concept of the “dialectical balance” is
from Marcia Linehan’s work in DBT
(Dialectical Behavior Therapy).
