1 A 22-year-old man presents with a lump on the scalp. Exam<strong>in</strong>ation reveals a<br />

smooth, spherical, tense lump. A small punctum can be seen on the surface.<br />

2 A 33-year-old man presents with a swell<strong>in</strong>g on the upper arm that has been<br />

grow<strong>in</strong>g slowly for a number of years. Exam<strong>in</strong>ation reveals a soft, compressible,<br />

non-tender, lobulated mass.<br />

3 A 28-year-old man presents with a pa<strong>in</strong>less swell<strong>in</strong>g on the dorsum of the right<br />

hand. Exam<strong>in</strong>ation reveals a smooth, spherical, tense, 1.5 cm swell<strong>in</strong>g. The overly<strong>in</strong>g<br />

sk<strong>in</strong> can be drawn over it.<br />

4 A 29-year-old man presents with two mobile fusiform-shaped lumps on the<br />

forearm. Each swell<strong>in</strong>g feels like firm rubber and causes t<strong>in</strong>gl<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the hand on<br />

pressure.<br />

5 A 65-year-old woman presents with a rapidly grow<strong>in</strong>g lump just below the eye.<br />

Exam<strong>in</strong>ation reveals a 2 cm smooth, round, sk<strong>in</strong>-coloured lump with a black<br />

central core. The lump is freely mobile over subcutaneous tissues.<br />
