3 An anxious 31-year-old woman compla<strong>in</strong>s of a history of chronic diarrhoea<br />

alternat<strong>in</strong>g with constipation. She often feels bloated. Investigations are normal.<br />

4 A 17-year-old man presents with symptoms of chronic diarrhoea and smelly<br />

stools. He has a history of recurrent chest <strong>in</strong>fections as a child.<br />

5 A 35-year-old woman with diabetes presents with weight loss, diarrhoea and<br />

angular stomatitis. Blood tests reveal presence of anti-gliad<strong>in</strong> antibodies.<br />
