This selection was coordinated by Nicolas Ruppli, Officer for Books<br />
and Reading at the Guyane Regional Direction for Cultural Affairs.<br />
The “Bibliothèque départementale de prêt” of Guyane (Alexandre-Franconie<br />
Library, Cayenne) also participated. Their choice features a variety of themes<br />
and types of books – alphabets, folktales, animal stories... – and highlights<br />
Guyane’s rich cultural heritage and identity.<br />

and less scary beasts of the Amazon Rainforest.<br />
This square shaped book with its nice paper,<br />
graphic design and coloured page backgrounds<br />
is an ideal way to discover art.<br />
