Modifying the smartphone display time out
and backlight conserves the battery life.
To set how long your smartphone waits before
the display turns off, perform the following:
1 Press: Start > All Programs > Settings >
Power Management > Display time out and
set the time out. When the time is out, the display
turns off.
To set how long your smartphone waits before
the backlight turns off, perform the following:
2 Press: Start > All Programs > Settings >
Power Management > Backlight time out on
battery or Smart Backlight and set the time out.
When the backlight is off, the display is visible but
dim.
3 Close unused programs, from the home screen,
press: Start > All Programs > Accessories >
Task Manager. Select the program and press:
End Task.
Note: The End Task operation is an ungraceful
shutdown of a program that may cause information
to be lost.

Battery life depends on the network, signal
strength, temperature, features, and
accessories you use.
Warning: Before handling batteries, please
note the following:
• Always use Motorola Original
batteries and chargers. The warranty does not
cover damage caused by non-Motorola
batteries and/or chargers.
• New batteries or batteries stored for a long time
may take more time to charge.
• Charging your battery in room temperature.
