| Chamber in Review 活 動 重 溫 |Inspiring the Business Leaders of Tomorrow啟 發 未 來 商 界 領 袖Secondary school students get some valuable advice and inspirationas part of the Chamber’s Business/School Partnership Programme透 過 總 商 會 「 商 校 交 流 計 劃 」, 中 學 生 可 獲 寶 貴 的 意 見 和 啟 發Baptist Lui Ming Choi Secondary School Site Visit to CLP Power Station浸 信 會 呂 明 才 中 學 考 察 中 電 青 山 發 電 廠Around 30 secondary form 3 to 5 studentsfrom Baptist Lui Ming Choi SecondarySchool visited CLP’s CastlePeak Power Station on March 30 to geta better understanding of how a powerstation functions.Prior to the tour, CM Choi, AssistantManager of CLP Group EnvironmentalAffairs, gave a brief presentation onCLP’s Environmental Initiatives, afterwhich WH Cheuk, Training Assistantof Generation/Environment Team, ledthe students around the ElectriCity, amuseum at the power plant. This gavestudents a chance to further understandhow energy is generated and delivered.More importantly, the visit taught thestudents the importance of conservingenergy.The visit concluded with a coach touraround Castle Peak Power Station. Studentswere introduced to the differentfacilities within a power plant as wellas the individual functions for both coaland gas burning power stations. The tourgave the students a very practical learningexperience, which they were able torelate to in their daily lives.約 30 位 來 自 浸 信 會 呂 明 才 中 學 的 中 三 至 中 五生 於 3 月 30 日 考 察 中 電 的 青 山 發 電 廠 , 深 入 了解 發 電 廠 的 運 作 。參 觀 前 , 中 電 集 團 環 保 事 務 副 經 理 C MChoi 簡 介 了 中 電 的 環 保 措 施 , 接 著 由 發 電 / 環境 小 組 培 訓 助 理 WH Cheuk 帶 領 學 生 參 觀 位 於發 電 廠 內 的 博 物 館 「 電 力 世 界 」, 讓 學 生 有 機會 進 一 步 認 識 電 力 的 生 產 和 輸 配 過 程 , 更 重 要的 是 節 約 能 源 的 重 要 性 。最 後 , 學 生 乘 坐 旅 遊 車 參 觀 青 山 發 電 廠 ,認 識 廠 房 內 的 不 同 設 施 , 以 及 燃 煤 和 燃 氣 發 電廠 的 個 別 功 能 。 是 次 活 動 為 學 生 帶 來 實 際 的 學習 體 驗 , 讓 他 們 能 夠 學 以 致 用 。84 June 2012 The Bulletin 工 商 月 刊
