Introduction<strong>Study</strong> WebpageThe I-<strong>66</strong> <strong>Multimodal</strong> <strong>Study</strong> webpage can be found on the VDOT web site athttp://www.virginiadot.org/projects/northernvirginia/i-<strong>66</strong>_multimodal_study.asp. A shortcut was provided via the domain name www.i<strong>66</strong>multimodalstudy.com. The webpage was arepository for the factsheets and major study deliverables. It also provided contact information,including a study telephone number and e-mail address to facilitate public commentthroughout the study. The telephone number was 855-STUDY<strong>66</strong> (788-39<strong>66</strong>) and the e-mailaddress was info@i<strong>66</strong>multimodalstudy.com. Each were active and monitored from thebeginning <strong>of</strong> the study through the conclusion <strong>of</strong> the final study comment period.Project FactsheetsFour factsheets were prepared over the course <strong>of</strong> the study and were released at key milestones.These factsheets were intended for public consumption and were used to inform thepublic and other stakeholders about study progress and key findings. They were made availableon the study webpage, and are included in Appendix A.1.4 Summary <strong>of</strong> the Interim <strong>Report</strong>The Interim <strong>Report</strong> released in December <strong>of</strong> 2011 documented the initial data collection andforecasting efforts. The Interim <strong>Report</strong> is intended as a companion piece to this <strong>Final</strong> <strong>Report</strong>. Itwas released in advance <strong>of</strong> the initial round <strong>of</strong> public meetings and formed the principal basis<strong>of</strong> discussion at these meetings. The Interim <strong>Report</strong> is broken into seven sections, some <strong>of</strong>which already have been referenced above. Following an introductory section, Section 2.0,<strong>Study</strong> Area Definition, defines and describes the refinement <strong>of</strong> the study area, taking intoaccount consultations with project advisors and the PARC. Section 3.0, Issues and Needs,identifies issues and needs, including regional factors that influence travel and key indicators.Section 4.0, Evaluation Methodology, covers the methods for identification <strong>of</strong> mobility optionelements, the formulation <strong>of</strong> and assessment <strong>of</strong> mobility options, and the formulation andassessment <strong>of</strong> mobility option packages. Section 5.0, Mobility Options Elements, presents thefull list <strong>of</strong> mobility option elements by category. Section 6.0, Market Research, presents keyfindings from the market research effort. Section 7.0, Next Steps, presents the key near-termwork items at the time <strong>of</strong> the report publication that were required to move the study tocompletion.1.5 Organization <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Final</strong> <strong>Report</strong>The remainder <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Final</strong> <strong>Report</strong> builds on and complements the Interim <strong>Report</strong>. Section 2.0,Mobility Options, describes the approach to selecting mobility options, the evaluation processapplied for the mobility options, and the evaluation findings for each <strong>of</strong> the mobility options.Section 3.0, <strong>Multimodal</strong> Packages, describes how the study team used the output from testingthe mobility options to assemble four multimodal packages and presents the evaluation resultsfor each package. Section 4.0, Recommendations, discusses conclusions drawn from the evaluation<strong>of</strong> the multimodal packages.
