To become a member, a manufaturer must apply for membership. Then a controller<br />

A more general labelling system for textile products has been established<br />
by <strong>the</strong> Austrian Texile Institute (ÖTI) <strong>to</strong>ge<strong>the</strong>r with Research Institute<br />
Hohenstein (FIH) in Germany. They have created Oeko-Tex (International<br />
Association for Research and Testing in <strong>the</strong> Field of <strong>Textile</strong> Ecology). A<br />
