<strong>the</strong> public health problems, particularly within <strong>the</strong><br />
context and settings <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Caribbean region<br />
Entry Requirements<br />
To be admitted to <strong>the</strong> prescribed course <strong>of</strong> study for<br />
<strong>the</strong> degree <strong>of</strong> Master <strong>of</strong> Public Health (MPH) candidates<br />
must:<br />
be registered medical practitioners, dental surgeons,<br />
or veterinary surgeons, with at least three years pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
experience preferably in Public Health after<br />
successfully completing <strong>the</strong> final examination in<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir discipline; or<br />
be graduates <strong>of</strong> an approved university with at least<br />
three years <strong>of</strong> relevant practical experience; or<br />
hold an approved technical or pr<strong>of</strong>essional qualification<br />
awarded by an approved body and approved<br />
by this university and have had at least five years<br />
relevant practical experience; or<br />
have, in <strong>the</strong> opinion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong>, o<strong>the</strong>r qualifications<br />
<strong>of</strong> special relevance to <strong>the</strong> course and in <strong>the</strong><br />
opinion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong>, have had at least five years<br />
<strong>of</strong> relevant practical experience.<br />
Applicants will be required to submit a written application<br />
and may in some instances be required to<br />
attend an interview to be eligible for selection to <strong>the</strong><br />
programme.<br />
Duration <strong>of</strong> programme:<br />
This degree is <strong>of</strong>fered over twelve months and in-<br />
cludes both classroom and field activities.<br />

The award <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Master <strong>of</strong> Public Health Degree is<br />
based on satisfactory completion <strong>of</strong>:<br />
