Entry Requirements:<br />

Applicants should be <strong>Medical</strong> Graduates <strong>of</strong> a <strong>University</strong> or <strong>Medical</strong> School recognized by <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>West</strong> <strong>Indies</strong> and fully registered in <strong>the</strong> territory or territories in which training will take place after completing <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
Internship and Senior House Officer Rotations.<br />
Candidates will be required to submit a written application and may be required to attend an interview to be<br />
eligible for selection to <strong>the</strong> programme.<br />
Duration <strong>of</strong> programme:<br />
Four years full-time<br />
Programme Structure:<br />
The programme will be a minimum <strong>of</strong> four years. The course <strong>of</strong> study will normally take place at <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong><br />
Hospital <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>West</strong> <strong>Indies</strong> or at institutions in <strong>the</strong> contributing territories recognized by <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> for this<br />
purpose; but up to one years elective period may be spent at an approved institution in or out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Caribbean.<br />
Throughout <strong>the</strong> programme, candidates must hold recognised posts in accredited hospitals or be on <strong>the</strong> elective<br />
period. The Specialty Board in Pathology is in overall charge <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> programme and is <strong>the</strong> sole and final<br />
authority on all matters concerning <strong>the</strong> programme.<br />
