CIP is a keyresource for learners and educators to advance intercultural competency development andfor local to global learning opportunities. The Center for International Programs atShenandoah University consists of two offices: the Office of International Student Servicesand the Office of Study Abroad.Office of International Student ServicesShenandoah University welcomes over <strong>15</strong>0 international students to its campuses eachyear from over 40 different countries. The Office of International Student Services providesan array of programs and services in support of international students including handlingimmigration requirements, advising on transition issues, supporting orientation and learningneeds, facilitating social programming and supporting employment immigrationrequirements to advance learning.CIP staff work closely with the International Student Association, a student organization thatorganizes events and advocates for international students.Office of Study AbroadShenandoah University encourages all students to seek opportunities to become globallyengaged citizens. In facilitating this effort, the Office of Study Abroad provides a range ofprograms and resources to assist students in meeting their international learning objectives.These include SU’s notable programs such as the Global Citizenship Project (GCP), theGlobal Experiential Learning (GEL) program, and International Student Exchange Program(ISEP).
