SPAN 301 Spanish Conversation 3SPAN 302 Spanish Composition 3TH 351 History of Theatre I 3TH 352 History of Theatre II 3*Some courses require auditions/prerequisites.Academic Policies • 48Dual EnrollmentStudents who have not completed a baccalaureate degree but are within 15 credits ofcompletion, and who have earned a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0, mayenroll in graduate classes for which all prerequisites have been met.Approval may be granted by the dean/director of the school/division in which theinstruction is offered when the student files a written plan that projects completion of thebaccalaureate degree within 12 months and when the student has applied for admission toa specific graduate program at Shenandoah University. All graduate credits undertaken mustapply to the anticipated curriculum. Credits may be applied to either the undergraduate orgraduate curriculum, but not to both.The above policy does not apply to Shenandoah University-approved articulated seamlessundergraduate to graduate degree programs.Program Time LimitA full-time student should complete all degree requirements within six years of initialregistration at Shenandoah. Stand-alone undergraduate certificate requirements (not takenwith an undergraduate program) should be completed within four years of initialregistration at Shenandoah. Time extensions may be granted when approved by the vicepresident for academic affairs.Second Degree PolicyA student who already holds a bachelor’s degree from Shenandoah University maycomplete an additional degree. The student seeking the additional degree must request readmissionto the university. There is no minimum credit hour requirement for an additionaldegree, but all curriculum requirements in effect at the time of re-admission must becompleted. Upon completion of the additional degree, the student will receive an additionaldiploma and will be entitled to participate in commencement ceremonies.A transfer student (whose bachelor’s or first professional degree was not from ShenandoahUniversity) must complete Shenandoah University’s Requirements for Degrees as well as allmajor requirements. University-mandated general education requirements will beconsidered to have been fulfilled, but core requirements of individual academic units will beconsidered on a case-by-case basis. Requirements mandated by external accreditingagencies must be met.
