THE CHARLES M. REEVES SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICSDr. Jeffrey A. Zimmerman, DeanThe purpose of the Charles M. Reeves School of Business and Economics is to fashion and nurture thespirit of entrepreneurship and creative economic endeavor. It does so by developing in students anunderstanding of the modern American economy, an appreciation of its power and institutional structure, and an ability to function within our economic system. The driving force of the global economy is theentrepreneurial spirit. Without this innovative and creative thrust, whether in a major corporation or a smallbusiness, the economy will stagnate. The value of the entrepreneurial spirit is not limited to business. Innovation, creativity, and ethicallyresponsible risk-taking are needed in government, the military, education, and the church. The ReevesSchool of Business is dedicated to the development of this entrepreneurial spirit. The mission of the Reeves School of Business and Economics is to:• Develop students’ understanding of business and economics;• Encourage students to conduct themselves with personal integrity and according to the principlesof business ethics;• Provide students with an opportunity to enroll in professional concentrations;• Prepare students to be successful in their subsequent professional and/or academic careers. The major courses of study offered by the Reeves School of Business are Accounting, BusinessAdministration, Financial Economics, and Marketing.
