Students demonstrate their understanding of and the application oforganizational communication and leadership via journal writing and response papers to assigned readings.Prerequisites are OCL 151 and major core courses or permission of instructor. In some cases otherinternship courses may substitute for OCL 490. See., ChairThe purpose of the Justice Studies Program is to provide students with a systems orientation to the fieldof criminal justice and a holistic view of behavior, conditions, and circumstances that produce crime andcriminality. Crime, criminality, and the criminal justice system are studied from a social scienceperspective. Students acquire a knowledge base and comprehensive understanding of criminological theoryas it applies to the causation, prevention, control, and treatment of criminal behavior. Students areprovided the opportunity to study the application of forensic science within the context of the investigativeprocess.
