Management of complex calendars, document analysis, anddocument production is emphasized. Legal ethics is an integral part of this course. Litigation is one of thelaw subjects that is tested in the Certified Legal Assistant Examination. This course is offered in the fallsemester, odd-numbered years.LAW 470 INTERNSHIP3 s.h.The internship provides a structured, supervised, career experience within the field of law. Legal ethics isan integral part of this course. Placement in the work environment requires that the student havesuccessfully completed all of the required paralegal courses with an overall grade point average of a 3.0 inthose courses as well as completed half of the elective courses. Approval from the Director of the programprior to registration is required. This course is offered every semester, and can be offered in the summer ifapproved by the Director.169
