Mandatory Student E-Mail PolicyAn e-mail account (ending in @student.methodist.edu) will be created for all <strong>Methodist</strong> <strong>University</strong> studentsby the Computer Services Staff. Students will receive their email account information in a letter from theAdmissions Office. If you do not receive your email account, you will need to contact the ComputerAssisted Composition (CAC) Lab attendant in one of the following three ways; physically go the CAC labin the Trustees Classroom building, room 375, call the CAC lab attendant at extension 910-630-7300, oremail, help@methodist.edu for assistance. All students are responsible for checking their e-mail daily formessages from the <strong>University</strong>. All Official <strong>University</strong> information (e.g., grades, academic notices, campuscalendars, attendance policy updates, registration and financial information, etc.) will be sent electronicallyonly. No <strong>University</strong> information will be sent to any other e-mail address.Mandatory Student E-Mail Policy for Graduate StudentsThe above policy applies to all <strong>Methodist</strong> <strong>University</strong> graduate students. However, for graduate studentsin the Master of Justice Administration, The Professional MBA at <strong>Methodist</strong> <strong>University</strong>, and the M.M.S. inPhysician Assistant Studies programs, e-mail addresses and passwords will be issued to students by theirprogram coordinators.Grading System for the School of Graduate StudiesAll programs in the School of Graduate Studies follow the grading policy below for course grades:Letter Grade Quality Points Letter Grade Quality Pointsper semester hourper semester hourA Excellent 4.0 C+ 2.3A- 3.5 C 2.0B+ 3.3 F Failure 0.0B Good 3.0B- 2.7IWDPFIncomplete. The course work must be completed within a reasonable period, not toexceed the end of the next academic term; otherwise, the I becomes an F.Withdrew, no grade awardedPass. Course taken on pass/fail basis. No quality points awarded.Fail. Course taken on pass/fail basis. No quality points awarded.Note: A course letter grade of C corresponds to a percentage score of 75%. Any course grade below 75% isconsidered failure (F) for the course.FACILITIES FOR GRADUATE PROGRAMSFacilities for the Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies ProgramThe facilities for this program are located in the Medical Science Building on the main campus. Theupper floor of this two-story building houses classrooms, media and computer equipment, and offices forthe program. The first floor includes laboratory science facilities, physical examination laboratory, clinicalskills laboratory, student library, student computer area with four desktop computers, student lounge,student kitchen and break area, men’s and women’s locker rooms, additional restrooms, faculty lounge,four faculty offices, and a faculty conference room. Another facility for this program is the HumanAnatomy Laboratory located at the Veterans’ Administration Hospital about two miles south of the maincampus. This facility contains eight tables for human cadaver dissection and is equipped with necessaryinstruments and other equipment and supplies.240
