A P P E N D I XIChapter 6: LulzSec HacktivitiesFollowing is a list of hacktivities blamed on and/or claimed by the original or first crew ofthe “LulzBoat”/LulzSec hacker group (not LulzSec Reborn or other spin-offs and successors).Due to the nature of the activity, it is not feasible to present a complete account of hacks associatedwith the group. Although they were highly vociferous about their hacks and gainedconsiderable media attention from its very beginnings, the account of LulzSec’s hacktivities islikely to reflect what the group intended to reach public attention. In media control, LulzSecwas able to hide likely failures and only hone successful attacks. For the compilation of the listbelow, we only used open source media and included details such as motivation where availableto add more depth to the identity of this hacker group.
