Illegal EntryDefinition: students, guests and all other unauthorized persons are prohibited from entering any<strong>University</strong> building or room, including residence facilities, as well as <strong>University</strong> owned orindividually owned vehicles without expressed permission from an authorized <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficial,faculty, or staff member or resident <strong>of</strong> such housing unit or vehicle.4. <strong>Student</strong> Conduct System AbuseDefinition: student conduct system abuse includes, but is not limited to, the following:• Failure to obey the summons <strong>of</strong> a student conduct body or <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficial.• Falsification, distortion, or misrepresentation <strong>of</strong> information before a student conduct body or<strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficial.• Disruption or interference with the orderly conduct <strong>of</strong> a student conduct proceeding.• Institution <strong>of</strong> a student conduct proceeding knowingly without cause.• Attempting to discourage an individual’s proper participation in, or use <strong>of</strong>, the student conductsystem.• Attempting to influence the impartiality <strong>of</strong> a member <strong>of</strong> a student conduct body prior to,and/or during the course <strong>of</strong>, the student conduct proceeding.• Harassment (verbal or physical) and/or intimidation <strong>of</strong> a member <strong>of</strong> a student conduct bodyprior to, during, and/or after a student conduct proceeding.• Failure to comply with the sanction(s) imposed under the Code <strong>of</strong> Conduct.• Influencing or attempting to influence another person to commit an abuse <strong>of</strong> the studentconduct system.5. Visitation GuidelinesCampus Community Violations: being on an opposite-gender floor or units without an escort,being on a floor or in a residence other than your own during hours when visitation is notallowed, sleeping in a room/residence that is not your assigned room/residence, or hosting aguest who is in violation <strong>of</strong> any visitation policy.Off-Campus Guest Violations: having <strong>of</strong>f-campus guests stay overnight without the consent <strong>of</strong> theRD/AC, having guests over who are under age 18 unless a sibling and approved by the RD/AC,having a guest who violates the values <strong>of</strong> the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Dubuque</strong>.88
