AWEJ Volume.5 Number.4, <strong>2014</strong>Fair, Reliable, Valid: Developing a Grammar Test UtilizingEfeotorbyMiketheOrrCEFR band descriptors, an analysis of syllabuses of EQUALS members whoimplemented the CEFR, a content analysis of popular textbooks, and teacher surveys. Theyanalysed the data to find consensus points ―which were common to a strong majority (80%) ineach of the data sources‖ (―Core Inventory for General English‖, 2010). Examination boards(Cambridge, ESOL, City and Guilds, Trinity) provided further assistance by commenting onlanguage points they considered to be relevant to each band.
