PERFORMANCE TESTSPERFORMANCE TESTSThese tests are intended to measure the SR715/720's conformance with its published specifications. Thesetest results, along with the results of the functional tests, can be recorded on the test sheet at the end of thissection.Necessary EquipmentInstrument Critical Specifications Recommended ModelTime Interval Counter Time Interval Accuracy SRS SR6201 ns maxDC/AC Voltmeter 5 1/2 digit DC accuracy Fluke 8840A with Option -09True RMS AC to 100 kHzResistance Decade Box Accuracy 0.02 % IET HARS-Q-6-11 Ω - 1 MΩCapacitance Decade Box Accuracy 0.05 % IET HACS-A-4-1000p1000pF - 10µFFixture to BNC AdapterSRS SR728BNC to stacking banana plugs (4) Pomona 3073Test ConditionsWarm up time: At least 30 minutesTemperature: 23 °C ± 5 °C1. Frequency AccuracyThis test measures the accuracy of the different output frequencies. They should be within 0.01% (100ppm) of the nominal value.1) Set the SR715/720 to its default conditions ([Recall] [0] [ENTER]). Set the unit to constant voltagemode, 1 kHz and remove any part from the fixture.2) Install the SR728 BNC adapter on the fixture. Connect the Ih lead to the frequency counter.3) Verify that the frequency counter reads 1 kHz ± 0.1 Hz (± 0.01%). Record the result.4) Repeat this at 100 Hz, 120 Hz, 10 kHz and 100 kHz (SR720 only). The frequencies should all bewithin 0.01% of the nominal frequency. Record the results.5-4
