Written and oralreports will be required.ADVANCED UNDERGRADUATECOURSEIBIO 5005. PROJECT IN INDUSTRIALBIOTECHNOLOGY. Two credit hours. Twofour to eight-hour laboratory or independentstudy periods per week.Undergraduate research in a field of industrialbiotechnology. A written report is required.DEPARTMENT OFBIOLOGYThe Department of Biology offers programs inBiology, Industrial Microbiology and PremedicalStudies. The principal objective of theProgram in Biology is to guide the studentstowards an understanding of the basic andunifying principles of biology. The graduates ofthis program find employment primarily ineducation, in pharmaceutical or relatedindustries, and in government agencies.The Industrial Microbiology program trainsstudents who can serve as specialists in thepharmaceutical or food industries.
