COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES Undergraduate Bulletin of Information 2001-2002As a unit within the College of Arts andSciences, the Department collaborates in theacademic preparation of individuals in makingindependent choices and participating effectivelyin public decisions that affect the community andthe society as a whole.In order to achieve the afforementioned goals,the Department provides programs leading to theBachelor of Arts degree in several areas in thesocial sciences for persons who will enter publicservice or will pursue graduate studies.
