4.3 <strong>Health</strong> workforce requirementsNo formal projections or future plans requirements for HRH exists in Jordan. TheHigh <strong>Health</strong> Council has adopted strategic objectives for some health workcategories per 10000 population as indicated in table 4.10 below. The Strategy doesnot include the basis on which these objectives were formulated. 14The Human Resources Project (2004-2006) which was funded <strong>by</strong> USAID andtechnically supported <strong>by</strong> Initiatives Inc, provided future staff requirements for MOHfor the year 2014 for some health cadres as shown in table 4.11. It employed apowerful planning tool modeling developed for the <strong>World</strong> <strong>Health</strong> Organization tool toproduce strategic and quantified human resource projections.
