Montage and mirror<br />

DESCRIPTION<br />

30 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the group<br />

Focus: the goal of this activity is to evaluate a session or course together in order to learn as much from the<br />

experience as possible and to trace where there is room <strong>for</strong> improvement. Participants will better internalise<br />

the content of the activities or training session if they are made to discuss and write down what they have<br />

learned and what they think they can use in their own teaching.<br />

Target group: pre-/in-service teachers of age groups 3-5/6-10/10-14/14-18/adult learners<br />

PROCEDURE<br />

Step 1 (individual – 10 minutes)<br />

1. Participants write a short evaluation/reaction/suggestion on four or five coloured cards of different<br />

shapes individually.<br />

2. You may provide a few ideas on what to write about: aims, outcomes, atmosphere, techniques, pacing,<br />

their own ef<strong>for</strong>t and progress, difficulties, plans <strong>for</strong> the future relating to the outcomes of the<br />

session, etc.<br />
