ACTIVITY 2 “WHAT HAS CHANGED FOR US?” – 90 MINUTES<br />

A piece of paper, poster size or bigger (one per group). This should be divided into three to five sections<br />

(one per group member) and one central space (see appendix)<br />

Different coloured markers (one marker per person, different colours <strong>for</strong> each group member)<br />

A working room <strong>for</strong> each group – or a big room where working with the number of groups <strong>for</strong>med<br />

is possible<br />

One big table per group<br />

1. Form groups of equal size (four to five people, any grouping method you prefer) and give the instructions<br />

<strong>for</strong> group work (15 minutes).<br />

Go to your working table.<br />

Each of you reads the narrative of your neighbour on the left and underlines what seems significant<br />

to you (15 minutes).<br />

Each of you writes into your part of the poster the three most significant items you took from your<br />

neighbour’s narrative (5 minutes).<br />

The authors of the narratives can comment on the choice of their peers and replace one of the items<br />

and/or add one more item to the list (15 minutes).<br />

The group selects up to six most significant items and writes them in the common space of the poster<br />

(25 minutes).<br />

The group prepares the poster <strong>for</strong> presentation and distributes the roles <strong>for</strong> the following activity<br />

(15 minutes).<br />

ACTIVITY 3 “WHAT HAS CHANGED FOR THEM?” – 75 MINUTES<br />

Pin walls or other means to pin posters on the wall<br />

Practical arrangements<br />

A big room, which allows also <strong>for</strong> moving around from poster to poster. An extra, empty poster is pinned on<br />

the wall apart from the other posters.<br />

Procedures<br />

1. Pin your posters on the wall in the space <strong>for</strong>eseen <strong>for</strong> this (10 minutes). Two members of the group stay<br />

with the group poster to discuss and exchange views with passing visitors. One group member initiates<br />

the discussion, the other member takes notes.<br />
