Project Area Recommendations Broad Street Architectural Infill Chapter 3: Recommendations 46 Looking northeast at the corner of Harriet Street and Broad Street, the proposed infill building has large glass windows on the first floor with shade awnings. A brick facade ends in a flat, Italianate roofine. A richly articulated building edge helps break up the mass of the structure, and reflects the finegrained texture of <strong>Milliken</strong>’s existing buildings.
Project Area Recommendations Broad Street Architectural Infill An articulated façade with elements that recede and push forward create a more visually rich appearance, break up the massing of larger buildings, and allow for the design of protected courtyard spaces Tucked-under parking and a wood/hardiplank facade defines the alley elevation.
