Project Area Recommendations Grain Elevator Landscape Improvements Project Area Priority Rankings Must-Do’s – Safety/Regulatory Items • Ensure the inside of the Grain Elevator is kept clean, disease-free and protected from vandals and curiosity-seekers. Low-Cost, High-Impact Projects • Public art mural could be painted on the outside of the Grain Elevator • Installing a basic wooden jack-leg fence to enclose the site and adding gravel and perimeter irrigated planting beds would be an inexpensive way to make the site more beautiful/useful. Medium & Large Projects • Install gateway signage mimicking the new Windmill Gateway elements Estimated Total Project Cost (including 20% contingency): $175,820 Grain Elevator Landscape Improvements Project Area <strong>Design</strong> Description In the short-term, the Grain Elevator site can function as a community event, performance and gathering space, with an interpretive area to display farm equipment and illustrate the history of the Elevator and its relationship to the RR and <strong>Milliken</strong>’s farming past.
