Parks – Avila Park
Avila Park
Chapter 2: Existing Conditions
Located north of Town Hall, Avila Park has links to a
local family that migrated from Texas to work the
Colorado farm fields. In 2012/2013, an older home
was moved onto the site to function as a living
history museum and community gathering place.
The park site has several very large mature trees
that provide shade and privacy. A wooden gazebo is
located near the parks eastern edge. Traditionally,
the park was used for community
gardening/relaxing.
