Bryce Treggs joined the Eagles after being acquired<br />
off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers on Sept. 4,<br />
2016, following the 53-man roster cutdown. Treggs<br />
originally signed with the 49ers as a rookie free<br />
agent following the 2016 NFL Draft. Treggs played<br />
collegiately at California where he finished his<br />
career ranked third in school history with 195 career<br />
receptions and fourth with 2,506 receiving yards.<br />
2016 HIGHLIGHTS<br />
• Registered 69 yards on 2 receptions in his NFL<br />
debut at NYG (11/6), including a 58-yard catch in<br />
the second quarter, which was the longest play<br />
of the game. Treggs’ 69 receiving yards were the<br />
most by an Eagles player in his first career game<br />
since DeSean Jackson on 9/7/08 vs. StL (106 yards).<br />
Additionally, his 58-yard reception was the longest<br />
ever by an Eagles player in his NFL debut<br />
BIRDSEED<br />
• Treggs’ father, Brian, was inducted into the Cal<br />
Athletic Hall of Fame in 2015. A four-year wideout<br />
for the Golden Bears, Brian hauled in 167 career<br />
receptions for 2,335 yards and 15 touchdowns.<br />
Bryce surpassed his father’s reception and<br />
receiving yardage totals during his senior campaign<br />
and scored his 15th-career touchdown in his final<br />
collegiate contest, the Armed Forces Bowl at Air<br />
Force (12/29/15), to tie Brian’s 15 career receiving<br />
touchdowns. Following his college career, Brian<br />
went on to play one season in the NFL for the<br />
Seattle Seahawks (1992). During his high school<br />
years at St. John Bosco, Bryce was coached by his<br />
father, who served as the team’s receivers coach<br />
