Howie Roseman<br />

A versatile offensive lineman out of Oregon State,<br />

Isaac Seumalo was drafted by the Eagles in the third<br />

round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Seumalo (pronounced<br />

Say-u-mah-low), made 37 starts for the Beavers<br />

during his career, opening 23 contests at C, nine at<br />

RG, three at LT and two at RT. A standout at Corvallis<br />

(OR) HS, Seumalo was rated as the No. 2 offensive<br />

lineman in the nation by SuperPrep.<br />

BIRDSEED<br />

• Numerous members of the Seumalo family have ties<br />

to Oregon State athletics. Isaac’s brother, Andrew,<br />

is currently a grad assistant for the Beavers and<br />

played defensive tackle for OSU from 2009-2012.<br />

Isaac and Andrew teamed up for one season when<br />

Isaac was a freshman and Andrew was a senior.<br />

The lone daughter in the family, Isaac’s sister Jessi<br />

plays volleyball for the Beavers. The family tree ties<br />

to OSU start with Isaac’s father, Joe, who coached<br />

football at OSU and is currently the defensive line<br />

coach at Arizona State<br />

• A former d-lineman at Hawai’i, Joe Seumalo<br />

enjoyed a pro career for the Calgary Stampeders,<br />

Ottawa Roughriders and the Edmonton Eskimos of<br />

the CFL, and the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe<br />

COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS<br />

• Made 37 career starts at Oregon State, opening<br />

contests at every position on the offensive line<br />

except for left guard<br />

• Sat out the 2014 season while recovering from a<br />

foot injury, but returned to the field as a redshirt<br />

junior in 2015 and went on to start all 12 games<br />

for the Beavers (nine at RG, three at LT). Prior to<br />

the season, was named to the Outland Trophy and<br />

Rotary Lombardi Award watch lists and finished the<br />

year with All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention and Pac-<br />

12 All-Academic First team honors<br />

• Started 10 games at center and two games at<br />

RT as a sophomore in 2013, earning Pac-12 All-<br />

Conference Second Team honors, while also being<br />

named to the Capital One Academic All-District<br />

team and the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team<br />

• In 2012, became the first freshman starting center<br />

for Oregon State since Roger Levasa in 1978. Was just<br />

one of two true freshmen in the country to start their<br />

team’s season opener at center. Earned All-Pac-12<br />

honorable mention and was named Freshman All-<br />

America by Phil Steele and CBSSports.com
