Originally a first-round pick by the San Diego Chargers<br />
in 2010, Ryan Mathews signed a three-year deal with<br />
the Eagles in 2015. In his first season in Philadelphia,<br />
Mathews finished fourth in the NFL in yards per carry<br />
(5.08). He played his first five seasons in San Diego,<br />
logging two 1,000+ yard rushing campaigns while<br />
earning Pro Bowl honors following the 2011 season.<br />

for 1,091 yards and six TDs on 222 carries (4.9 avg.)<br />
and set career highs with 50 catches for 455 yards<br />

• Totaled his second-career game with 100-plus<br />
rushing yards and two-plus rushing TDs when he<br />
led the team with 109 yards (19 carries) and two<br />

fifth Eagles player since 1950 to record seven-plus<br />
rushing TDs in the first nine games of the season,<br />
joining LeSean McCoy (10 in 2011), Ricky Watters<br />
(eight in 1996), Wilbert Montgomery (seven in 1982)<br />
and Billy Ray Barnes (seven in 1958)<br />
• Tallied his fifth rushing TD in eight games after<br />
running the ball in from the 8-yard line in the second<br />
quarter at NYG (11/6)<br />
• Registered his fourth rushing score of the season<br />
