A three-year starter at Oregon State, Josh Andrews<br />

spent his rookie season on the practice squad after<br />

being signed as a rookie free agent in 2014. Andrews<br />

started 25 consecutive games during his junior and<br />

senior campaigns. He earned first-team All-Mt. Baldy<br />

League accolades three times at Colony High School.<br />

• Would be a parole officer if he were not playing<br />

football. Said Andrews, “My friend’s father is a cop<br />

and my major in college [sociology] really enlightened<br />

me on all the different aspects of life. There<br />

are so many people that need direction and I would<br />

like to be that person to set them on the right path.”<br />

• Enjoys playing video games in his spare time,<br />

specifically Madden, NBA 2K, NCAA Football and<br />

Call of Duty<br />

• Favorite sports moment was winning the Hawai’i<br />

Bowl as a senior at Oregon State<br />

• A big fan of RB Ricky Williams growing up, followed<br />

the Miami Dolphins and the San Francisco 49ers<br />

as the best player he has ever lined up against<br />

• A three-time first-team All-Mt. Baldy League selection<br />

at Colony High School, Andrews helped lead<br />

the school to a CIF-Central Division title as a senior,<br />

playing on both the offensive and defensive lines<br />

• Also played basketball in high school<br />

• Participated in the “Beavers Without Borders” trip<br />

to Ethiopia in the summer of 2012, where he helped<br />

build two houses for underprivileged families<br />

• Son of Nate and Tanya Smith and has two siblings,<br />

• His mother, Tanya, a respiratory therapist, has<br />

been the biggest influence on his life. “She was a<br />

single parent and had to do a lot of sacrificing for<br />

my brothers and I. She had to be both the mother<br />

and father in our household. I’m thankful for everything<br />

she has done for us.”<br />
