A five-year veteran, Ron Brooks signed a three-year
contract with the Eagles in the 2016 offseason after
spending the first four years of his career with the
Buffalo Bills. Originally a fourth-round pick of the
Bills in the 2012 NFL Draft, Brooks appeared in 47
games with three starts for Buffalo, racking up
46 tackles and seven passes defensed. Also a key
contributor on special teams, Brooks compiled 29
special teams tackles.

• During his tenure in Buffalo, served as the Bills’
ambassador during Domestic Violence Awareness
Month. Brooks has embraced this designation with
great pride and plans on getting involved in similar
advocacy efforts with the Eagles
• His father, Anthony Brooks, played college football
at Texas A&M Commerce and spent the 1993
season on the active roster for the Chicago Bears
• Entered the NFL in 2012 with Eagles teammate LB
Nigel Bradham when the pair of defenders were
drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the fourth round. In
the 2016 offseason, Brooks and Bradham signed
contracts with the Eagles one day apart

• Scooped up his first-career fumble recovery in
a road win at Chi. (9/19) after DT Bennie Logan
stripped the ball loose from Bears RB Jeremy
Langford in the fourth quarter. The forced turnover
ignited a 6-play, 46-yard Eagles drive that resulted
in a Ryan Mathews rushing TD

• Claims that RB Steven Jackson is the best player
he has ever lined up against. In fact, his “welcome
to the NFL” moment took place late in his rookie
season when he had back-to-back matchups with
Jackson and RB Marshawn Lynch. “I’ve never seen
guys as big as those two,” said Brooks
• In college, worked a side job as an EKG technician
at a local hospital
• In his spare time, enjoys being active, spending
time with his family and playing Call of Duty on PS4

of going on annual vacations with his loved ones.
