Bryan Braman originally signed with the Houston<br />

Texans as a rookie free agent in 2011 and has<br />

emerged as a proven force on special teams over the<br />

course of his career. Braman signed a two-year deal<br />

with the Eagles prior to the 2014 season and signed<br />

a one-year extension in the 2015 offseason that will<br />

keep him in Philadelphia through 2016. Braman has<br />

served as a “core four” special teams player with<br />

the Eagles, providing leadership on a unit that has<br />

accounted for 12 touchdowns from 2014-16.<br />

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS<br />

• Has 52 special teams tackles in 93 career games<br />

• Was named a Pro Bowl alternate and to USA<br />

Today’s All-Joe Team in 2012 after leading the<br />

Texans with 16 special teams tackles and notching<br />

• Blocked a Pat McAfee punt in the second quarter<br />

vs. Min. (10/23) and helped block for WR Josh Huff<br />

as he returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown.<br />

Huff’s return touchdown marked the first time in<br />

franchise history that the Eagles returned kickoffs<br />

for touchdowns in back-to-back games<br />

• Paved the way for Eagles RB Wendell Smallwood to<br />

return a kick for a touchdown at Was. (10/16)<br />

• Recorded his first special teams tackle of the<br />

season in a Week 3 win vs. Pit. (9/25)<br />

• Prior to landing his first NFL job as a rookie free<br />

agent with the Houston Texans in 2011, Braman<br />

thought his football career was over. “After I<br />

got kicked out of Idaho, I was making concrete<br />

railroad ties for a year, just back-breaking work.<br />

It was tough.” Braman went to West Texas A&M<br />

in 2009 after a two-year stint at Long Beach City<br />

College. He originally went to Idaho, where he was<br />

a redshirt freshman in 2006. “The bottom line is I<br />

was just immature and got caught up in bad things.<br />

It was an eye-opening experience for me and really<br />

forced me to grow up. I think going through that<br />

ultimately made me a better person. I’m so much<br />

more appreciative of everything I have now.”<br />

Cecil Braman, a WWII veteran who was a whopping<br />

7-foot-4 and 360 pounds<br />

• Was heavily recruited out of Shadle Park (WA)<br />

H.S. as a standout track star. Competed in the<br />

4x100 relay, high jump, long jump and javelin. Has<br />

considered training for the javelin following his<br />

football career and would love to have the chance<br />

to throw in the Olympics for Team USA
