Kamu Grugier-Hill (pronounced KAH-moo GREW-jay
HILL) was acquired by the Eagles off waivers from the
New England Patriots on Sept. 4, 2016, following the
53-man roster cutdown. Originally a sixth-round draft
choice of the Patriots in 2016, Grugier-Hill played
in 49 games over his four-year career at Eastern
Illinois and earned first-team Ohio Valley Conference
accolades as a junior and senior. As a senior in 2015,
he compiled 70 tackles (16.5 for a loss) and 6.5 sacks.
BIRDSEED
• Pre-game ritual consists of listening to country
music until an hour and a half before kickoff and
then listening to rap until warmups. Following
warmups, he switches to EDM/house music until
the team walks out of the tunnel for kickoff
• Became the 15th player in Eastern Illinois history
to be selected in the NFL Draft and the first since
QB Jimmy Garoppolo was picked by the New
England Patriots in 2014. Also became just the third
Panthers defender and the first Panthers LB to be
drafted by an NFL club

• Returned to action in Week 11 at Sea. (11/20) and
notched his third special teams tackle of the season

70 tackles (50 solo) and a career-high 6.5 sacks.

2014 and garnered first-team OVC accolades after
leading the team with a career-high 97 tackles (47

tackles in a win at Tennessee Tech (11/1/14)
• Saw action in all 14 games as a sophomore in 2013
