Investing in Personal Growth
The Slight Edge has been especially helpful in the area of personal
development. i have always been around people who felt that it was a
waste of time to sit and read books. Now, i take the time every day to
read at least 10 pages, and in the past year i have read 15 books. The
wealth of knowledge and ideas i have gained is priceless.

i have always believed that having a great philosophy is the foundation
for success. Although i was never an avid reader of books, primarily due to
not realizing the proper skills of time management, it did not enter my mind

moving in a direction that i never dreamed possible.

We have always believed personal development is an inner journey and you
will not get there overnight, and that is one of the most important principles
Jeff teaches in The Slight Edge

taught me through his philosophy as i read The Slight Edge. No one changes
overnight, and you are not going to absorb the full material in a good book
overnight. By reading 10 pages of a good book everyday our concept of
patience was re-enforced, our concept of self worth was re-enforced, our
concept of commitment was re-enforced, by simply applying these principles,
we are better people.

i was introduced to the Slight Edge philosophy when i was 19. Before that time i
never really saw myself doing much with my life. i couldn’t hold conversations with
strangers and i truly wasn’t interested in people. i wouldn’t say i was a troublemaker,
but i was willing to settle for mediocre. i was an average student in high school

i started diving into other great books, reading 10 pages a day and i just started
transforming. i wanted to be successful. i wanted to talk to other people about
success. At every job i held, i shot straight up to management, ahead of people
who had worked at the establishment for years. Even more importantly, successful
people began being attracted to my attitude and my energy.
i’ll never forget the day at the gym when a highly successful real estate developer
approached me. he said he had a great location for a new business. he said if i

business. The opportunity literally fell in my lap and i jumped on it. To this day the

and in a couple of years i will begin the expansion of my company. i’m 22 years old
and if it wasn’t for the Slight Edge principles, and investing in myself by reading 10
pages of a good book every day- i wouldn’t be the man i am today.
