Project description<br />
An exist<strong>in</strong>g communal green space between<br />
residential blocks was retrofitted with a<br />
<strong>SuDS</strong> scheme. The ra<strong>in</strong> gardens receive water<br />
from hard surfaces at roof and ground level<br />
and from soft surfaces at ground level.<br />
Objectives<br />
• Provide a susta<strong>in</strong>able dra<strong>in</strong>age<br />
function and alleviate flood<strong>in</strong>g<br />
• The ra<strong>in</strong> gardens should create<br />
attractive, productive and biodiverse<br />
green spaces for the residents<br />
