PART 4—WHAT WE DO<br />
Seven countries participated in the program:<br />
the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Samoa, Tonga,<br />
the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic<br />
of the Marshall Islands and Papua New Guinea.<br />
Key outcomes in 20<strong>15–16</strong> included:<br />
• a Memorandum of Understanding<br />
(MOU) with PICPA to express the<br />
partnership between the Commonwealth<br />
Ombudsman and PICPA<br />
• supporting and strengthening members’<br />
integrity agencies in the creation of<br />
‘Integrity Hubs’ which bring together<br />
anti-corruption mechanisms and<br />
practices at a regional level<br />
• an anti-corruption workshop in Nadi,<br />
Fiji to identify common regional<br />
challenges in implementing anticorruption<br />
processes across the Pacific.<br />
The office also developed a mechanism for<br />
referring matters between integrity anticorruption<br />
agencies in the Solomon Islands, and<br />
facilitated training of integrity agency officers<br />
in Vanuatu.<br />
